Privacy notice
Privacy
Arc respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This notice explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices and rights available to you.
Last updated: October 2026
Who we are
Arc operates arc-official.com from the United Kingdom. This notice covers this website, enquiries sent to Arc and information submitted through the Arc Expert Network role-channel form hosted by Tally. For privacy questions or requests about your information, contact charlesedmonds@arc-official.com.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a commercial partnership. Any subsequent project or data-sharing arrangement requires separate consideration and, where appropriate, its own terms and privacy information.
Information you provide
We collect the information you enter and submit through our forms:
- Data Partnership enquiries: name, company, work email, role, company website, country, company-size band, industry, workflow area, material type and state, approximate scale, readiness, what your organisation does, potentially relevant operational workflows, documentation, processes or specialist knowledge, and optional additional context.
- Research Partnership enquiries: name, company, work email, role, company website, country or primary market, research type, target participant type and seniority, sample-size band, additional geography detail, timeline, what you want to learn or evaluate, the expertise or participants you need, and optional additional context.
- Specialist Sourcing enquiries: name, organisation, work email, job title, required specialism, target seniority, approximate number of professionals, target geography, timeline and requirement description.
- Partnership Origination enquiries: name, organisation, work email, job title, industry, target organisations, buyers or partners, target geography and organisation profile, timeline and relationship description.
- General / Advisory enquiries: name, optional organisation and job title, work email and what you are exploring.
We also receive information you choose to include in subsequent correspondence. Required fields are marked on each form; without them we may be unable to process the enquiry. Please provide only information needed for the initial discussion, not confidential datasets, sensitive personal information or unnecessary information about other people.
Expert Network and role-channel information
The current Arc Role Channel form, hosted by Tally, asks you to select your professional background categories, whether you have previously created an account or applied on the external opportunity platform named in the form, and the types of opportunities that interest you. These responses help Arc understand your areas of expertise and preferences, route you to relevant role-update channels and avoid duplicate applications.
The current form does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, employer, location, CV or résumé, LinkedIn or other profile links, detailed work history, or availability. Background and preference responses may be personal information if linked to an identifiable individual; the absence of contact fields does not make the service anonymous.
Arc uses this pathway to administer the Expert Network’s role-channel routing and help people find potentially relevant professional, research or AI-related opportunities. It is not a full suitability assessment and does not itself collect an address for individual opportunity messages. If you separately contact Arc, we may use the details you provide to respond about your participation. Joining does not guarantee work, projects, compensation or selection, and does not mean Arc is the employer for any opportunity.
Technical information
The website processes connection and request information to serve pages and handle enquiries. For form abuse prevention, the server reads the IP address supplied with a request and uses a hashed version for temporary request counting. The forms also use a hidden spam-check field, a submission identifier to avoid duplicate emails, and a signed delivery receipt to check whether the email reached Arc. These identifiers support form operation, not advertising.
Form content is sent by email rather than stored in a website enquiry database.
How and why we use information
We use enquiry information to respond, consider potential Data Partnerships, Research Partnerships, specialist sourcing, partnership origination or early-stage qualification requirements, communicate about possible business relationships and maintain relevant correspondence. Technical information supports form delivery, reliability and protection against abuse.
Our basis for this use is our legitimate interest in handling genuine enquiries, exploring relevant business opportunities and operating a reliable, secure website and routing individuals to relevant Expert Network role channels, balanced against your rights and reasonable expectations. Submitting a form is not consent to unrelated marketing or unrestricted sharing.
Where necessary to respond to a data-protection request or meet another applicable legal duty, we process information to comply with that legal obligation. The website does not use your enquiry to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Who receives information
Vercel provides the website hosting and infrastructure. Resend delivers the enquiry emails to Arc’s mailbox and provides delivery-status information. The email includes the submitted fields and uses your email address as the reply-to address. Email is also processed by the service providing Arc’s mailbox.
Tally is the third-party form provider for the Expert Network role-channel form. Responses submitted there are processed through Tally’s infrastructure for Arc’s role-channel workflow. Arc’s use of those responses is covered by this notice; Tally also describes its own processing in Tally’s privacy information.
The website does not automatically forward enquiries to commercial or research partners. Submitting an enquiry does not authorise indiscriminate distribution. If progressing an enquiry requires a separate disclosure, its purpose, recipient and appropriate basis must be considered before sharing. Information may also need to be disclosed where required by law.
Processing outside the UK
Hosting, email and external form providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK. Their published data-processing terms describe contractual arrangements for international transfers: see Vercel’s data-processing terms and Resend’s data-processing terms.
UK data-protection rules require an applicable transfer basis, such as adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual safeguards, where a restricted transfer takes place. For information about the locations and safeguards applicable to your information, contact Arc using the address above.
How long information is kept
Enquiry information should be kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry, maintain relevant business correspondence and meet applicable legal requirements or resolve disputes. The appropriate period depends on the nature of the enquiry, any continuing relationship and whether there is a specific need to retain a record. Expert Network role-channel responses should likewise be retained only while needed for relevant routing, participation or applicable legal requirements. Retention and deletion need to cover responses held in Tally as well as any copies retained by Arc.
Temporary form rate-limit entries have a one-minute expiry and are cleared during subsequent requests. Delivery-check receipts expire after one hour; this does not delete the email or set the retention period for correspondence. Contact Arc to ask about retention or request deletion of your information.
Protecting information
The website uses server-side validation, submission limits and spam checks to help protect its forms. Email-delivery credentials stay on the server, and signed receipts protect delivery-status checks. No website or email system can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information through an initial enquiry.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where the legal conditions apply, you may also have a right to receive information in a portable format. If any processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing; these enquiry forms do not rely on consent simply because you submit them.
Contact charlesedmonds@arc-official.com to exercise your rights. We may need information to verify your identity and understand your request. Rights can depend on the lawful basis and applicable exceptions.
Questions, concerns and complaints
If you have a question or concern about how Arc handles your personal information, please contact us at charlesedmonds@arc-official.com. We would welcome the opportunity to understand your concern and address it directly.
You also have the right to raise a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) , whether or not you contact Arc first.
Cookies and analytics
The website application does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not include analytics or advertising trackers. Its enquiry forms do not save submitted details in browser local storage or session storage. Information entered in a form remains in the current page while it is in use.
This does not describe the separate practices of external websites you choose to visit.
External websites
The Expert Network join links take you to Arc’s role-channel form hosted by Tally, covered above. If you follow links onward to role-update channels or opportunity providers, those services have their own privacy practices. Review their notices before joining a channel or providing further information. Other external websites are also governed by their own notices.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the website, services or data practices change. The current version and its update date will be published on this page.
